DONATE NOW
For a few pennies a day, you could change the life of a child.  Your donation will help educate, feed and provide shelter for children in need.

HOW DO WE HELP THEM?

At Muskurahat our aim is to motivate an orphan or street child's family to send them to school, which is an extremely hard task because these kids, mostly, are earning members for their families. However, once the guardian agrees, the life of this deserving child changes.

We cannot all possibly be there physically for such children to provide them with the facilities they need, however, we all have the ability to be a rock of support for these kids from any part of the world in several ways .

At Asma Homes, an orphan child can be sponsored (on a monthly basis) for their:
- Comfortable living and food: US $30
- Education (school, transport, uniform, shoes, sports facilities etc.): US $40

At Asma's Model School (for Girls) AMS, a deserving girl child can be sponsored (on a monthly basis) for:
- Books, stationery, uniform etc.: US $15

Each drop counts, because...
EACH LIFE MATTERS!

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step! Educated women have a greater chance of escaping poverty, leading healthier and more productive lives, and raising the standard of living for their children, families, and communities. AMGS was initiated in 2011 to do just that!

Muskurahat Educational & Welfare Trust (REGD) was established in the aftermath of the massive flood that hit Pakistan in 2010.

The projects under the trust ensure safety for underprivileged children pulling them out of the streets into safe havens in the form of a

shelter and a school.

Asma's Model School (for Girls) AMS was set up in 2011 in a small destitute village in KPK, Pakistan, that offered no facility of a girls' school

in the area. The little girls of this village were mainly found loitering in the streets under unhygienic conditions living aimless lives.

The elders of the village, being ignorant themselves, did not much care about the wellbeing of their kids and had orthodox ideas

as far as girl education was concerned. Moreover, they barely had enough to provide food for their families. Paying for their education

was out of question.

AMS was initiated to empower these helpless little girls. The main aim was to end all oppression these girls faced, and not only provide

them with free education, but groom them into confident and well aware individuals who would take responsibility for their lives in the future.

With the establishment of the school, an evident change could be seen gradually in the mindset of the villagers, and most started to seek

opportunities to get their girls enrolled into AMS.

Earlier on, the girls would be married off against their will as soon as they would reach puberty, but the school has enabled the mothers

to be more aware now, realising that they would find themselves helpless in most situations in their own lives, but unlike them,

their girls would be empowered and would acquire the knowledge and understanding necessary to take their own sensible decisions

in the future.

Through educating 250 deserving girls presently, the school hopes to bring a positive change in the lives of their families further

cutting down on illiteracy and poverty rate.

For us, at AMS, the LIFE of each girl child MATTERS!

Asma Homes, located in rural Islamabad Pakistan, is an initiative taken by Asma Munir Salman, a private school teacher from Islamabad,

to support the wellbeing and education of orphaned or street children.

Established in 2013 in Islamabad, the homes aim to give a meaningful purpose to the lives of orphan and street children.

A great population of young deprived poor children in Pakistan are either found on the streets living aimless lives, or they are forced to

work as child labourers to help provide for their family members. While on the streets and these workplaces, they are found helpless and

vulnerable. Furthermore, because of the death of a parent or extreme poverty, they never get to live their childhood and remain deprived

of the love, care, and attention they deserve. Going to school is simply out of question and so, they continue to live in poverty for

generations to come.

Asma Homes pulls these kids out of the streets and into a safe haven. Here, they are provided with love, care and attention that they

remain deprived of in their precious childhood days. Asma Homes ensure their positive and purposeful upbringing while providing them

with education of a good standard. Efforts are made at Asma Homes to ensure each child's safety and empowerment through its visionary

learning programs, so they get to be accepted as valuable members of the society and get equal opportunities in various walks of life.

These children, once brought up with care and attention, will become contributing members of the society and assets for the country.

Asma Homes have been named after different trees. Taking care of these children is like nurturing little plants that have the potential to

grow into massive trees that eventually are a source of nourishment and comfort for us.

For us at Asma Homes, the LIFE of each street child MATTERS!

Asma Homes - Boys Wing:

Established in 2013, the home presently supports comfortable living and clothing, nutrition, and quality education of underprivileged boys

under one roof. The children are homeschooled to help them reach a level where they are ready to be enrolled in mainstream schools of

the twin cities, so they are seen and accepted as equal members of the society. The children are nurtured with love, care, and attention

so they may overcome their past setbacks and begin to live meaningful and purposeful lives.

You too can contribute towards the sponsorship of a child (food, living, education expenses). Donations can also be made in the form of

Sadaqat and Zakaat to the account mentioned on the website.

Asma Homes - Girls Wing:

Exclusively for girls who have been orphaned, left alone or neglected and vulnerable on the streets, the home, established in 2020, aims

to 'aid' and 'empower' these deserving girls so they discover their inner potential and overcome any past distress to evolve into

contributing members of the society in future. Many underprivileged girls are being nurtured here and the home has taken up the

responsibility of their education to pull them out of poverty and help them to bloom and blossom.

You too can contribute towards the sponsorship of a child (food, living, education expenses) or give your Zakat and Sadaqat to support

these deserving children. Contributions can be made to the account mentioned on the website.
